X1 Pimms No. 1 with Ginger Ale and mixed with some mint, cucumber, strawberries etc.
X1 Bellini – too damn delish.
X1 Granadilla Daiquiri – A* it’s not waterrrrmelon anymore it’s now Granadilllla :-)
We got semi-sauced…

Did:
  • We sat in the sun with our feet buried in the sand and tried to zoom-in on the hot biceps on the boats. We also bumped into my sister and my cousin, SMH these two…tsk tsk.
Let me give you a bit of background:
Thursday, my sister who’s staying with me till Varsity reopens asked me what my day looked like the next day (Friday). I told her I was going to be in back to back meetings and travelling in-between offices. She then said ok, but can she leave with me in the morning…and then meet with PL* later. I’m thinking oh, PLN* is coming back from Nigeria and then they’ll probably go to Pretoria (my aunt’s place) and then my sister will probably come back on Saturday morning, cause she’s supposed to drop me off at the Airport as I didn’t want to leave the car there…UH …Nope! These two had other plans and all I saw the next day was my sister getting into the car with an overstuffed weekend bag – “oh okay…”, she dropped me off at work and rushed off to do or drop something off at school…she got trapped in traffic, I had to ask a saintly colleague to drop me off at my first meeting, was late…blah blah blah. I then got a text mid-meeting…about 9am saying (note the text speak):
“We aren’t going to Zanzibar anymore. (Huh? Delirious is seriously confused) PLN* got the dates of the Festival wrong (Busara).Tickets booked eveythin. Wudnt hav made the flight anyway at the rate I was going. Left keys with reception lady to give to T*.
Sori 4 inconvenience. Going to Cape Town instead. At the airport now. U can use that R100 for Gautrain & I’ll pick u up on Monday”.

First, I laughed – “U can use that R100 for Gautrain”! * Delirious is laughing so hard she starts snorting* (she’s my younger sister and a student).
Then I thought, WTF, how come neither she or my mom didn’t tell me what her and my cousin’s plans were so that we can make sure that the housekeeping (drop-off and pick-up logistics) were in place!! I’d planned my trip at least 3 weeks ago. Watev…got over it by 6pm.
So, when I saw these at the two at the Grand Beach Café: I just started shaking me head.
  • Posed, pouted and snapped some pics – actually P* poses and photographs way better than I do, I just look sauced in all my photos – so over it.
  • Went looking for the MAC’s Ruby Rouge at Cavendish Square, didn’t find it…went to Canal Walk…didn’t find it…walked around for ages…got really tired and angry at ourselves for even deciding to go to Canal Walk in the first place.
  • Slept late – actually P* slept late…the “youngins” (my sister and my cousin) had invited us over to their hotel’s rooftop pool-bar and we said we’d drop by after we’d bought the Ruby Rouge…let’s just say P* was game for some fun and me…I just remember putting my head on a cushion and telling P to leave a wine glass out for me “I’ll have some wine now-now P*…zzzzz”.
  • I earned the title: “No. 1 Fader”.
