Food, Glorious Food!

Wowser, I had some really good food on Thursday!
To start, I had the mushroom medley, tomato, mozzarella & basil and prosciutto w/parmigiano shavings *lip smacking stuff*. As a main I had the Filet Mignon FlambĂ© in Cognac served on a bruschetta with and caramelized onions and potatoes. The Filet, THAT Filet…gaddem…mmm-mmm *thinking of a description, thinking HARD for a fitting description*. All I can say is Hiyo! *exclaiming in Xhosa*. Too damn delish. I’m thinking: the cows were water birthed with Vivaldi’s Four Seasons playing in the background? Maybe also taken care of by a cow-doula and massaged everyday as calves and as they grew up were fed the finest grass, got to drink beer and off course the finest champagne? I could go on about the cows, but in this case I think the Chef deserves the pat on the back. Faultless.
Made me wanna bust out some lyrics!
Take it away Jigga:
When you're blue
You got nothin' to do
(Ay, baby, see,....
When you're used to Filet Mignon,)
Head into the party life
(Its kinda hard to go back to Hamburger Helper...)
If you're feelin' low
We got to go
(Its your choice though, baby....)
Get into the party life
The rest of the lunch-time revelers had:
Grilled Scottish Salmon served with wasabi mashed potatoes and vegetable julienne.
Homemade tagliolini with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and basil.
For Dessert:
I had the delightful Peach and Vanilla Sorbet.
K* had the Tiramisu and Miss T*, E* and P* had the Baked Cheesecake.
The G* had the Affogato – vanilla ice cream served with a shot of espresso and whipped cream.
The name of the restaurant? Rabbit in the moon (in Illovo) – the name's quite “suspect” but the food certainly made up for the eccentric name.
