The box I’ve been waiting for has arrived *squeal*! I’ve been wondering and putting together sample combos in my head: would they give me the right stuff? Would they get it all wrong and give me something like liquid foundation which I am absolutely terrified of because I’ve seen how it can go all wrong and end up looking like mud (god forbid o!). Would they give me testers and testers of perfumes I hate? At the moment, I’m into blushers, shimmer combos, eye pencils and bronzers (okay the bronzer is more than just a whim it’s an extended obsession). At present, I’m going ga-ga over the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick (for the love of glowing cheeks).
So, do I like this month’s package? Kinda, Yes. Kind of.
I like the fact that it gets delivered to me, it’s like receiving an unexpected birthday gift. I also enjoy the suspense that comes with opening a box within a box. First it’s the pop of pink glam box, then it’s the MAC-black (MAC patent make-up bag like) box, then I pop the lid and undo the ribbon and just when I can’t take the suspense any longer I get to peel back the soft pink tissue paper to reveal my glam stash.
The products:
Eye slices – these are very season appropriate (trust me; I’m going to need these over the next couple of weeks).
Skin Code recovery cream – the operative word being “recovery” means this is going to come in handy over the next couple of days.
The Innoxa firming neck and bust cream: maybe the people at Glam Box have got my file and know how old I turned this year. If they do, they sure don’t understand what subtlety is ;-) So what if I’m not 25 anymore? But I guess it’s never too early to adopt ways of delaying the inevitable turkey neck.
The Dermalogica – I’ve never tried this brand before, Neutrogena has been treating me very well, and it will be interesting to see how it performs.
The Decleor – I’ve tried their Aromaessences and their products generally work for me.
The sizes are okay, the Decleor could have been bigger, much bigger ;-)
